Yesterday, I had the opportunity to go to the Inaugural Red Sky Music Festival in Omaha, NE
The experience was an awesome one! I really enjoyed listening to music and stories from local and national acts. I could not believe my $25.00 ticket for Journey would allow me to see some great acts for almost a whole day. Yes, it was hot, but the people behind the scenes have setup water stations, spray mists and tents to help people enjoy the show.
I really enjoyed Chris Saub and his band, The Feel Good Groove Junkies and John Ondrasik, Five for Fighting. The evening capped off with Night Ranger and Journey. Those Night Ranger guys were bouncing on stage like they were in their 20’s and Journey always rocks with the fabulous musician team, led by Neil Schon and their new lead singer, Arnel Pineda.
My sons and I enjoyed a tremendous day of music. I hope this is the first year of many, many years.
The sound from the stages was awesome, especially TD Ameritrade. You have to experience a live concert in this new venue.. The sound and lights are incredible. Nothing like it around this area.
Red Sky Music Team – Keep up the great work and have a super week!
If you live in this area, you need to go down and experience this festival. It will be the talk of the town in 2011. Buy a $15.00 pass for the afternoon or buy a ticket to the main evening show and go early and see the other acts in the afternoon. It is the perfect way to experience great music in Omaha.
