This Advent, I was reminded about the importance of prayer. When we pray the Lord’s Prayer, we say “Our Father” not “My Father”
The Lord’s Prayer, Matthew 6:9-13
God is our Father for all of us and we all share the same Father.
This Advent as I consciously take time to pray, I am going to reflect on this notion that the greatest prayer that Jesus taught us is for everyone and we are communion with our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Have a super week and continue to grow in your relationship with Christ.

Today, I attended a local retreat at my church and we spent some personal time in reflection. I literally opened my bible to the passage:
I Corinthians 16 : 13 – 14 13 Be watchful, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong. 14 Let all that you do be done in love. Source BibleGateway
This passage has now become my motto for the 2013 Advent Season beginning this week. I don’t believe in coincidences and my goal is to reflect on these verses each day.
Have you given much thought to Advent. In years past, I treated Advent like another meeting at work or something that comes around each year. This year, it is time to take more of a stand for Christmas and what it stands for. It is time to do some preparation and share the Good News of Christ with others. Be Strong, and let it be done in love. Words to definately live by this Advent Season.
